The McDonald’s Big Mac is getting an upgrade, with changes to its bun, cheese, and other ingredients. The sesame seed bun is now toasted for 22 seconds in the restaurant, five seconds longer than before. The cheese is taken out of the fridge earlier to reach room temperature and melt faster when placed on the meat.

The lettuce and pickles have also been improved, and the iconic Big Mac sauce remains unchanged, with a more generous serving of 14 grams instead of 9, adding 30 extra calories. Additionally, two other burgers, the Double Cheese and the Royal Deluxe, will also benefit from these upgrades.
