Top and Flop of PSG’s match
Paris Saint-Germain narrowly secured a victory at La Meinau thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappé and Marco Asensio (1-2) on Friday, during the 20th round of Ligue 1. After missing a penalty in the 4th minute, Kylian Mbappé redeemed himself in the first half. He was also involved in the first Parisian goal, after an excellent press from Marco Asensio, who recovered the ball and provided the decisive pass. In the second half, Mbappé set up Asensio for his third goal in four matches with PSG.

Despite an excellent start to the game and the penalty saved by Kylian Mbappé, the performance of the Moroccan goalkeeper was tainted by a mistake in the middle of the first half. Caught outside of his penalty area, Bellaarouch failed to clear the ball, leading to the opening goal. Apart from this costly error, his debut in Ligue 1 was generally convincing, particularly with a great save and clearance sequence that led to a Strasbourg opportunity in the 66th minute. In the first minute of the game, Gigio Donnarumma made a great save to keep his team in the match.

Strasbourg had twenty shots on goal (compared to nine for Paris), and eight shots on target (compared to five for Paris Saint-Germain). Often isolated on a side where the absence of Hakimi was noticeable, Randal Kolo Muani did not pose much of a threat during the game. However, he did win a penalty early on. He was replaced by Ramos in the 82nd minute.

Initially injured in the right knee, the French international stayed on the field, limping. He received a yellow card in the 30th minute for a rough foul on Bakwa, and failed to prevent the cross from Angelo, which led to Strasbourg’s consolation goal (68th). Positioned as the lead striker for Strasbourg, the Ivorian was very discreet and clumsy (lost possession five times). He was replaced in the 52nd minute by Emanuel Emegha.
