The British team principal is the subject of an investigation for “inappropriate behavior” towards several employees. “The end seems near,” warns the Dutch newspaper, mentioning a conflict between Horner and the influential Austrian advisor of the Max Verstappen team, who is the current world champion. The team has not disclosed the nature of the investigations regarding their leader, but the accusations seem to be taken very seriously.
“After becoming aware of certain recent allegations, the company has launched an independent investigation. This process, which is already underway, is being conducted by an external specialized lawyer. The company takes these matters very seriously, and the investigation will be concluded as soon as possible. It would not be appropriate to make further comments at this stage,” stated a press release published on Monday.
A meeting is scheduled between Horner and other decision-makers of the team, according to Skysports. This incident comes just a few days before the presentation of the 2024 car, on February 15.
